Chiba Glamping Facility 'Washinmura' Offers Relaxing Stays with 15 Rescued Cats

A glamping village with 6 rooms, located in the rural landscape of Futtsu, Chiba.

Featuring a 200-year-old traditional house and 15 rescued cats. Enjoy a relaxing time with nature and animals.

Daytime Activities

Climbing slopes with a woven basket on your back or exploring the forest. You can enjoy an old-fashioned "original experience," playing with your whole body.

Nighttime Activities

Chatting slowly while watching the flames of a bonfire. Before you know it, a cat is curled up asleep next to you. Such a day in the countryside is a common sight at Washinmura.

About the Facility

Dotted around the premises are a 200-year-old traditional house, a Nagayamon gate, tents, and snow peak Jyubako (mobile houses). We live together with the following animals:

- 15 rescued cats - Goats - Dogs - A family of silky fowls

Regarding Animal Snacks

Under the guidance of a veterinarian, and to manage the cats' health, we ask that you refrain from bringing in commercially available snacks.

If you would like to give them snacks, please purchase the snacks sold at the Washinmura shop (carefully selected, additive-free, domestically sourced ingredients, etc.). *Sold in limited quantities.

Other Notes

- The cats live freely on the premises. Please be careful if you have allergies. - The animals are temperamental, so we don't know which room they will visit. They won't necessarily always come. - The cats and dogs at Washinmura are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and treated for ticks.
