TV Anime 'The Monster Tamer's Daughter' Announced!
Drecom Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Yuki Naito) is pleased to announce the TV anime adaptation of 'The Monster Tamer's Daughter' (written by Tendo Damu, illustrated by Shirabi), published under the DRE Novels imprint. This marks the first time a recipient of the 'Drecom Media Awards' has been adapted into a visual medium.
Alongside the announcement, the anime's teaser visual, main cast, and key staff have been revealed. Continuing from the original PV released with the first volume, Manaka Iwami will reprise her role as Rien, Chikahiro Kobayashi as Hakura, and Akio Otsuka as Ao. Additionally, comments have been received from the original author Tendo Damu, character designer Shirabi, and director Chihiro Kumano.
Furthermore, a manga adaptation has been confirmed for serialization starting September 2026. To commemorate the anime announcement, a preview of the first chapter is now available on the web manga platform 'Dricomi+'. Stay tuned for more updates on 'The Monster Tamer's Daughter'.

'The Monster Tamer's Daughter,' which won the Grand Prize unanimously by the judges of the second 'Drecom Media Awards' novel contest, has now been confirmed for TV anime adaptation.
The original novel is a fantasy adventure following Rien, a descendant of witches with the ability to command monsters; her companion slime Ao; and Hakura, an adventurer known as a 'witch hunter,' as they journey through a world where humans and monsters coexist.

Rien encounters Hakura, an adventurer who has been battling a vicious monster and teetering on the edge of life and death.
'Do you want to live? Or would you rather find peace?'
Saved by her hand, Hakura is hired as Rien's bodyguard,
and the two begin traveling together.
Yet, drawn to her extraordinary powers,
only troublesome incidents involving complex monsters come their way...
A slightly troublesome, yet irreplaceable journey begins now,
with the mischievous, self-assured, yet somehow endearing Rien.

Even I can't believe it. A huge dream I've cherished since childhood has become reality, thanks to the support of everyone who's cheered us on. The broadcast is still a little ways off, but everyone involved is working hard and seriously. Please wait just a little longer for the new beginning of Rien and Hakura's complicated journey.

At first glance, Rien may seem confident and carefree, but she's a reliable character with vast knowledge and the ability to command monsters.
Though it deals with serious themes, the story also features great comedic timing in Rien and Hakura's dialogue and humorous scenes—there's plenty to enjoy!
