Nomura Milk Industry Introduces Solar Power System, Aiming for 45% Self-Generated Electricity
Nomura Milk Industry Co., Ltd. announced in April 2026 the installation of solar power generation equipment at its 'My Flora Plant' manufacturing base in Mihara City, Hiroshima Prefecture. This system is projected to supply approximately 40% to 45% (about 65,000 to 74,000 kWh) of the plant's annual electricity consumption and is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 31 to 36 tons annually. Founded in 1897, Nomura Milk Industry has focused on fermentation technology and gut environment research since 2010, primarily producing plant-based lactic acid bacteria beverages like 'My Flora'.
