Traditional Craft "Kaga Temari" Inspires Design | Authentic Uniform Pre-Orders Now Open for 2026/27 Season!

Zweigen Kanazawa (J3) is pleased to announce the unveiling of the team's match uniforms for the 2026/27 MEIJI YASUDA J3 League season, now available for pre-order via the Zweigen Kanazawa official online shop.

The new uniform design draws inspiration from "Kaga Temari," a traditional craft passed down in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. First-round pre-orders are limited to 700 units and available until July 5 (Sun). Orders placed during this initial period will be delivered before the kickoff of the 2026/27 MEIJI YASUDA J3 League season.

Design Concept: "Nurture"

The 2026/27 season uniform concept centers on "Nurture," one of the five core values of Zweigen Kanazawa's club philosophy "Make Challenge a Tradition of Our City"—namely, Connect / Enjoy / Dream / Nurture / Create.

Since 2021, when the club philosophy's symbol mark was first introduced, each season's uniform concept has followed this philosophy: "Connect" in 2022, "Create" in 2023, "Dream" in 2024, and "Enjoy" in 2025.

"Nurture" represents not a one-way process, but a mutual relationship where all parties grow by influencing one another. Club, supporters, partners, and hometown—despite differing roles, all move forward by supporting each other. This uniform embodies that spirit. "Growing together" "Nurturing the club, and being nurtured by the club" Growing alongside this city and its people. This jersey is a symbol of that ongoing cycle.

Design Motif: "Kaga Temari"

The 2026/27 season uniform is designed around "Kaga Temari," a traditional craft of Ishikawa Prefecture. Just as each stitch gradually forms a larger, beautiful pattern, so too does the collective effort of every individual supporting Zweigen Kanazawa come together to advance the club toward greater goals.

In Kanazawa, there is a tradition of giving handcrafted temari balls to daughters as protective charms when they embark on new journeys. This uniform similarly carries the wish to protect the club, the community, and fans from adversity. Additionally, Kaga Temari often contain a small bell at the center, producing a soft, elegant chime. Inspired by this unique "sound" of Kaga Temari, the design also symbolizes the players' passion resonating through the stadium and giving rise to cheers.

FP1st Design

Back Design Feature: "Star Pattern" Symbolizing "Growing Together"

Below the back collar features a single-point design based on "Hoshi-kake," a fundamental technique in temari crafting. "A single thread drawn continuously in one stroke" "The way threads cross resembles people holding hands" The interconnected threads forming a star symbolize the club, community, and fans uniting in pursuit of victory.

Second Uniform Design: Featuring the Letter "Z"

Previously, the second uniform followed the first uniform's design with only color variations. This year, however, the design has been completely redesigned.

The dynamic chest pattern represents both the letter "Z," the first letter of Zweigen Kanazawa, and people linking arms, symbolizing "cooperation" and "unity." This design expresses the shared hope and determination to "build a new Kanazawa and Ishikawa together." The motif of "Kaga Temari" is incorporated within the chest pattern.

Number and Name Font

Starting from the 2026/27 season, an original custom font will be used for player numbers and names. This font was developed to visually express the core identity of the club—"Kanazawa-ness" and "Zweigen-ness."
