About 2025 Activities

Shiroyone Senmaida, designated as one of Japan's 100 best terraced rice fields and a national cultural property scenic spot, has been cherished as a representative tourist attraction of Oku-Noto. However, it suffered significant damage, including the collapse of terraced rice fields due due to the earthquake. Last year, land preparation work such as repairing the terraced fields and maintaining collapsed ridges was carried out, but this year marks the first time for rice planting.
