Approximately one month has passed since the international AI event 'India AI Impact Summit 2026' was held in New Delhi, India, in February 2026. We will report on the AI trends and future seen through this event over three installments.

The summit featured not only presentations of the latest technologies but also numerous discussions from a more practical perspective on how AI can be utilized in actual business operations. At the Zoho booth, many specific questions were asked, such as 'Can it actually be used?' and 'How can it be integrated into our business?', indicating that interest in AI utilization is moving to a new phase.

About India AI Impact Summit 2026

India AI Impact Summit 2026 is an international AI event organized by the Indian government (MeitY: Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology). This year, over 300 companies and organizations from 30 countries participated. Discussions were held over five days on the themes of social implementation of AI, industrial utilization of AI, and AI policy. It can be said that the geopolitical center of gravity for discussions surrounding AI is steadily shifting.

The two keywords that repeatedly emerged throughout the venue were 'Sovereign AI' and 'Democratization of AI'. The idea of questioning the structure where AI is led by a few giant technology companies and the notion that the benefits of AI should be more widely distributed throughout society were shared across governments, corporations, and research institutions. We will provide more details on these two themes in the next newsletter (the second installment).

Questions Raised at the Zoho Booth

Zoho exhibited a booth at this event, primarily showcasing its proprietary AI platform, 'Zia'. Visitors' interest was focused on the point of 'Can it actually be used?' rather than the technology itself. Among these, the most frequent questions were about 'Zia LLM (the large language model that forms the basis of Zia)'. In particular, the following points were frequently asked:

• 'What is the number of parameters?'

• 'What is the configuration of GPUs used?'

• 'When will it be available for use in all products?'

While these might seem like inquiries about specifications at first glance, the underlying intention was to ascertain 'Can this AI actually be used in our business operations?' and 'To what extent can we understand and control it ourselves?'

Zia LLM is a large language model developed from scratch by Zoho and is designed specifically for enterprise business applications. Instead of competing in general performance, its strength lies in its optimization for understanding cross-functional business data such as CRM, finance, HR, and customer support, and operating within actual workflows.

Since Zoho develops and provides these business applications integrally in-house, AI can be utilized in a way that aligns with business processes while linking data between products.

Furthermore, many questions were raised regarding data protection.
