Zeon Corporation (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tetsuya Toyoshima; hereinafter "Zeon") has expressed its support for the recommendations of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (hereinafter "TNFD*1") and will register as a "TNFD Adopter*2" in March 2026, while also participating in the "TNFD Forum."
Towards realizing its corporate philosophy, "Contributing to the eternity of the Earth and the prosperity of humankind," Zeon promotes management that emphasizes harmony with natural capital, based on the value of "coexistence between nature and humans" which underlies its materiality. As a company utilizing fossil-derived resources, including C4 and C5 fractions as its main raw materials, Zeon believes it is crucial to appropriately understand its dependence on and impact on natural capital across the entire value chain and to work towards reducing them.
Going forward, Zeon will utilize the LEAP approach*3 recommended by TNFD. While recognizing that its business activities benefit from natural capital, they also impact the natural environment. Zeon will proceed with identifying and assessing important nature-related risks and opportunities, and advance initiatives and information disclosure in line with the TNFD framework.
Furthermore, by enhancing information disclosure in accordance with the "Governance, Strategy, Risk Management, and Metrics & Targets" categories required by TNFD, Zeon aims to achieve sustainable growth and enhance corporate value.
