Zaiyasha LLC supports April Dream, an initiative to make April 1st a day to share dreams. This press release is the dream of "Zaiyasha."

Hello.

Our company, "Zaiyasha LLC" (hereinafter referred to as Zaiyasha or our company), based in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, is dedicated to activities that create culture, including the production and publication of books and audiovisual content.

1. Zaiyasha's Journey

Let's briefly look back at our company's trajectory.

Zaiyasha LLC was founded on May 9, 2024, in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture.

We planned a collection of short stories by manga artist "Tora Sho," who is a transgender individual and had been publishing works depicting the reality of transgender people on social media. A crowdfunding campaign conducted from September to November 2024 reached its initial target of 500,000 yen within the first 24 hours, demonstrating the strong demand for the author's work.

The aforementioned book was published as "Tonari no Trans Shoujo-chan" (ISBN978-4-9913920-0-9) on May 9, 2025. It was released as the inaugural work of the "Premier Comics 100" label, which focuses on manga artists with unique perspectives.

The book continued to receive strong reactions, leading to a live-action film adaptation directed by Takeshi Shoji, known for works such as "Katasode no Sakana" and "Old Narcissus." Production is progressing smoothly, aiming for release this autumn.

Furthermore, last November, we launched the creative web magazine "in-Sight" project, which advocates for "freedom." Our efforts bore fruit, and it officially opened on February 16 this year.

We are diligently working every day, utilizing both paper books and web media.

2. "Publisher" Identity and New Vision Formulation

Now, our company will restart with new action guidelines and a vision on May 9, 2026, marking its upcoming second anniversary. We are currently making rapid preparations for this.

While we have externally identified ourselves as a "publishing company" and have operated with that identity as our foundation, we have longed for a vision to serve as a corporate anchor, enabling flexible business activities amidst worsening economic conditions such as rising material costs and a publishing recession, and the turbulent waves of the times.

Returning to the origin of why we felt it necessary to establish a "publishing company" in a rural area and breaking down our motivations, we concluded that what we truly sought was to "create culture in the town." Thus, we decided to shift our identity from a "publishing company" to a company that "creates culture."

And that aspiration crystallized into a new mission and action guidelines.

【Mission】

What we create and deliver is not merely an object. It is the crystallization of the breath of life living in this moment, and "culture" itself.

Culture is something that "circulates." It is a gift of chance, woven from the cycle of birth and disappearance, and the once-in-a-lifetime encounters it brings.

To connect this essential heritage to the next generation, that is the mission of Zaiyasha.

【Action Guidelines】

No matter where it is, we will sharpen our ears and stand by the faint breath of life.

No matter where it is, we will interact and cooperate with those who share our aspirations to create a better future.

No matter where it is, we will respect the will of "what once was there" and strive to connect it to the next generation.

No matter where it is, eventually, that endeavor will be called "culture."
