Yuimedi (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Emiri Grimes), a developer of medical data utilization infrastructure, announced the completion of a 200 million yen additional funding round through a third-party allocation of shares, with Norinchukin Capital and Darwin Venture Management as new investors.
This follows the first closing in February 2026, bringing the total funding to 600 million yen.
To achieve its mission of 'delivering necessary medical care to the patients who need it through data,' Yuimedi will leverage these funds to accelerate growth in both business operations and organizational development, including recruitment.
Use of Funds
Yuimedi operates three core business segments to become the infrastructure for medical data utilization:
- YuiData Business (Japan): Providing the 'YuiData' real-world data service for pharmaceutical companies, utilizing electronic medical record data from partner institutions. - YuiQuery Business (US/Japan): Developing and providing a healthcare-focused AI service that allows anyone to conduct medical data research using natural language. - Medical Data Standardization Business (Japan): Converting real-world data into the global standard OMOP CDM format to promote data utilization.
With this funding, the company plans to invest particularly in the YuiData and YuiQuery businesses.
Specifically, Yuimedi intends to expand its business development, sales, and specialist talent for the YuiData business, and development talent for the YuiQuery business. Yuimedi is actively seeking new team members who resonate with its mission to join them in this challenge.
