Yokohama Bay Quarter, a shopping mall at the east exit of Yokohama Station operated by Yokohama Diamond Building Management Co., Ltd. (Kanagawa Ward, Yokohama City / President and Representative Director Takeo Fukui), will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Monday, August 24, 2026.

Since its opening in 2006 as a facility rooted in the Yokohama Portside district, it has been visited by more than 10 million customers annually. Under the new facility concept "Otonarizort" (Neighbor-zort) established in 2024, we have provided convenience and comfort through shop expansions that upgrade everyday life and seasonal experiences.

We have positioned 2026 as our "20th Anniversary Year", and plan to implement various projects to help visitors make new discoveries, such as special anniversary campaigns, sales of limited-edition anniversary goods and food, facility renovations, and a special anniversary edition of the highly popular "Yokohama Lantern Night" event.

With gratitude to the many customers who have used Yokohama Bay Quarter, all the stores, and all stakeholders, we will continue to provide a more comfortable time for those visiting Yokohama and local residents as a relaxing facility for "adults" located "next door" in everyday life.

Main Initiatives for the 20th Anniversary

Launch of a Special Site Featuring the 20th Anniversary Key Visual and Logo Design

We have created a new key visual and logo symbolizing the theme of our 20th anniversary. Based on the colors reminiscent of the sea and sky used in the Yokohama Bay Quarter logo, the design combines the motif of a seagull soaring in the Yokohama sky with the 20th anniversary. The single seagull embodies our gratitude for the past 20 years and our message: "We want to continue bringing comfort as your everyday 'neighbor'."

The "20th Anniversary Special Site" featuring these visuals will be launched on Monday, April 20, 2026. The special site will continuously post information on upcoming events and campaigns.

20th Anniversary Special Edition "Yokohama Lantern Night 2026" Confirmed!

The popular annual summer event "Yokohama Lantern Night," which has been well-received by many customers since its inception in 2019, will be held in a special edition commemorating our 20th anniversary. By adding 20th-anniversary-exclusive decorations and features to the magical lantern display that colors summer nights, we will deliver an even more memorable and special experience.

*The schedule and details will be announced at a later date.

The latest information will be announced on the "20th Anniversary Special Site" of the official Yokohama Bay Quarter website as it becomes available.

"The 20th Mascot Dog Contest" is Also Underway!

Since its opening, Yokohama Bay Quarter has been enjoyed by many customers with pets as a "pet-friendly facility" where they can enjoy shopping and dining together. The popular "Mascot Dog Contest," which utilizes this characteristic, is being held again this year.

We are looking for dogs to take on PR activities on SNS and other platforms as the commemorative 20th mascot dog of Yokohama Bay Quarter. From the dogs that applied during the period, 150 will be selected in the first screening through a rigorous review process. After that, the Grand Prix will be determined by public voting.

Renovation of Facility Facilities

Yokohama Bay Quarter, which currently houses about 80 shops, considers "serendipity"—meaning unexpected discoveries and chance encounters—as one of its charms, aiming for visitors to enjoy chance encounters with unique shops and restaurants.

Aiming to create a more comfortable and cozy space, we plan to implement renovations in stages from April to autumn 2026, including the renewal of common areas, the main square, and facility signage. Taking advantage of the unique charm of an open mall facing the waterfront where you can feel nature, we will improve the cozy space and functionality as a refreshing resort close to home.

*We apologize for any inconvenience caused by temporary enclosures during the construction period, and we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
