Yamadaya Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Taro Yamada) will launch collaboration items as the third installment of its Art Brut artist collaboration project, "Our Sustainable," starting Friday, April 17th, at physical stores and online stores.

For this project, we have incorporated the works of Shoko Usui, with whom we collaborated in the first installment, and newly welcomed Shoya Nogi, into the designs of folding umbrellas and fans.

These items allow people to incorporate the colorful and free expressions of two talented artists into their daily lives. The fans feature outdoor specifications with a carabiner and paracord, while the umbrellas offer enhanced functionality with UV cut processing. Please look forward to them.

Background of Co-creation Yamadaya has launched the project "tsumugu~& cycle by me~" with the meaning of connecting people's "happiness," "lives," and "thoughts."

As part of this activity, this project started through an encounter with the organization Sketchglam.

Sketchglam, also based in Aichi Prefecture like Yamadaya, advocates the concept of "'Not 'cannot,' but 'charm.' People called Art Brut (disability art) artists, who live with disabilities and connect with society through 'art.' The works born from their hands are 'a little mysterious, very gentle.' We, together with artists with disabilities and companies, aim to change the ingrained image of 'disability = disadvantage' in society." This shared vision led to the realization of this third collaboration, following previous successful partnerships.

Introduction of Art Brut Artists

### Shoya Nogi Born in Tokyo in 1990, currently residing in Chiba Prefecture. Began full-fledged art activities as an Art Brut artist in 2025. In the same year, he was selected for the "Art to You! World Exhibition of Disability Art IN SENDAI 2025." His works are characterized by delicate overlapping lines and vibrant colors, developing a unique rhythm through repetitive motifs. The accumulated dots and lines evoke diverse images in the viewer.

**Works Introduction** - Orange Blue - Kakizome (First Calligraphy of the Year) - Full Moon Giraffe - Irodori Michi No.1

**Shoko Usui** Born in 1991, residing in Nagoya City. Began expressive activities at the young age of 9 in 2000. Currently, she passionately engages with her works daily at "Pole Pole no Tomodachi." Her creation is less about "thinking and drawing" and more about colors running, her body moving, and a canvas emerging the moment she feels something—akin to a live performance. Colors are placed on paper without hesitation, and inspiration transforms at a furious pace into her works.
