With this update, businesses using 'Yayoi Kyuyo Next' can automatically calculate and withhold the support fund in accordance with the new system, enabling secure and accurate payroll processing that complies with the law.

■ Background

The 'Child and Child-rearing Support Fund' system, which begins collecting premiums in April 2026, is a new system established based on the 'Children's Future Strategy' approved by the Cabinet on December 22, 2023. Aimed at supporting child-rearing across society as a countermeasure to the declining birthrate, the system is designed to be broadly borne by all generations, including the elderly, and by businesses, with premiums to be collected alongside medical insurance premiums as stipulated by law.

However, as this is a new burden affecting all generations and businesses, various challenges are anticipated in practical operations. For businesses, the content and scope of the system can be difficult to understand, making it hard to determine how to reflect it in payroll.
