The Terakoya Group's flagship launches! Integrated Learning Facility 'Bancho Square (Banchō Square)' opens in July — Learning in Ehime, Soaring to the World
Terakoya Group (Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture; Chairman and CEO: Tatsujirō Yomikoshi), which operates group learning centers primarily in Ehime Prefecture, will open its integrated learning facility 'Bancho Square' (hereinafter 'Banchō Square') on July 1, 2026 (Wed) in Niban-cho, Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture. The facility will consolidate personalized tutoring schools, programming and English conversation classes, corporate headquarters functions, and a co-working space designed for community interaction.
This facility marks the Terakoya Group's first 'Square-type facility'※, established as a hub to comprehensively deliver educational curricula essential for children living in a new era. It aims not only to serve as an educational space but also to become a new venue where intellectual curiosity and the local community intersect.
Since joining the Yaruki Switch Group in December 2024, the Terakoya Group has advanced the rebranding of its comprehensive academic prep school 'Prep Academy (formerly TERAKOYA)' and strengthened the launch of new programs such as physical education and programming classes for young children—turning its commitment to enriching Ehime's educational environment into reality.
Three Core Functions Realizing the Vision: 'Learning in Ehime, Soaring to the World'
1. Classrooms: A wide range of learning options—including individual tutoring, group classes, video-based instruction, English conversation schools, and programming schools—designed to expand children's horizons, all gathered in one place.
2. Terakoya Group Headquarters: The group's headquarters will be located on the basement level, reinforcing its commitment to being deeply rooted in the local community.
3. Co-working Space 'Educational Hub Matsuyama': Located on the second floor, this new co-working space serves as a venue where intellectual curiosity and the local community intersect. Designed for people of all ages—from children to adults—it aims to nurture next-generation talent and innovation through intergenerational collaboration.
Message from the Leadership Tatsujirō Yomikoshi, Chairman, Terakoya Group
~Concept and Vision: A Place That 'Shines Light' on the Future~
It has already been a year and a half since the Terakoya Group became part of the Yaruki Switch Group. Throughout our 50-year history, what we have always cherished is 'dialogue'—dialogue with each child and with the people of this city, all aimed at shaping our shared future.
Now, we are relocating our headquarters and launching an entirely new learning hub where diverse schools and community engagement converge. The concept we have set for this space is 'TERASU' (meaning 'to illuminate'). In this warm, light-filled space alive with greenery, we aim to bring out the inherent brilliance within every child.
Though our form may change, our belief that 'children come first' will never waver. As we continue walking hand-in-hand with this city, we will begin weaving a new narrative of learning from this very place.
