Yabushita Holdings Co., Ltd. (Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido; President: Tadahiro Mori; 17 group companies) has officially entered the medical device sector by welcoming Nihon Medix Co., Ltd. (Kashiwa, Chiba; President: Yasuhiko Tsuse), a developer and manufacturer of electrical stimulation therapy devices and ultrasonic therapy equipment, into its group.

Expanding 'Applied Domains' Based on Over 50 Years of Medical Device Expertise; Robot Development via IT Collaboration from Hokkaido

Nihon Medix has over 50 years of experience in developing and manufacturing physical therapy equipment, such as electrical stimulation and ultrasonic therapy devices, building a strong track record in the medical and rehabilitation fields. Currently, they focus on the medical and sports sectors, leveraging their expertise in electrical stimulation technology and rehabilitation equipment.

Through this acquisition, the group will utilize these technologies to expand into fields including nursing care, sports conditioning, femtech, and beauty, in addition to medical and rehabilitation services. Furthermore, the company aims to develop next-generation equipment and robots for functional recovery and physical support, focusing on highly practical products tailored to individual physical conditions and needs.

Development efforts will include international technical collaboration and a partnership with 'Shinsetsu,' a group of young IT creators in Hokkaido, to fuse medical technology with IT and software. By combining this with the Yabushita Group's manufacturing base, the company aims to broaden the application of medical technology.
