YKK AP30 Building in Kurobe Achieves Highest "Platinum" Rank in WELL™ Certification

Woonerf Inc., which supported the certification acquisition, announced that YKK AP Inc.'s YKK AP30 Building in Kurobe City, Toyama Prefecture, achieved the highest "Platinum" rank in the "WELL™ Certification v2 pilot" in November 2025. The building houses some of YKK AP's manufacturing division headquarters and head office functions. Completed in 2024 with the concept of "an office in the woods," it also achieved the highest 6-star BELS rating and "ZEB" in November 2024. The building utilizes in-house full-height "SYSTEMA 31" windows to ensure natural light and views, a key requirement of WELL Certification, while maintaining the high insulation needed for ZEB. It optimizes the work environment with features like a cafeteria offering safe meals using local ingredients, stair art depicting the Kurobe River, and the introduction of "OiTr," a private room-type infrastructure providing free sanitary products, the first of its kind in the Hokuriku region.
