Wooden Toy Brand 'Nakayoshi Library' Launches Products in the 'Lexus Collection'

For this collaboration, Nakayoshi Library has taken maple wood—previously used for Lexus steering wheels and shift knobs—and repurposed it to create new value as wooden toys. This is an upcycling initiative that avoids material waste, contributing to environmental impact reduction and the SDGs.

Using the Rare Wood "Bird's Eye Maple"

These products utilize Bird's Eye Maple, a highly rare variety of Canadian maple. Bird's Eye Maple is characterized by unique patterns resembling bird eyes and is used in high-end furniture, musical instruments, and luxury car interiors. The material used here was sourced from Lexus steering wheel and shift knob components, reborn as wooden toys that allow children to experience its beautiful grain and value.
