wimo Opens New Test-Ride and Experience-Based Hub "BASE WIMO" in Omiya

wimo Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Keisha Hong) launched "COOZY" in 2020, an electric-assist bicycle designed to dispel stereotypes and preconceived notions about the category, by creating an "electric-assist bicycle that doesn't look like one." It has garnered attention for years due to its sophisticated frame design and wide variety of color options.

Following this, the company expanded its lineup with the authentic "wimo kids" series, which redefined the image of children's bicycles, growing the range from 16-inch to 26-inch models. In 2024, the company released the "COOZY Light," a model that inherits the philosophy of the original COOZY while pursuing even greater ease of use. Furthermore, in March of this year, wimo launched the "URBAN BELT 650," a simply designed electric cross bike suited for daily use, evolving its product line to cater to a broader range of lifestyles.

Now, as a new hub to further expand the value of the "bicycle" itself, wimo will hold a pre-opening for "BASE WIMO," its first new direct-managed store in three years, on Friday, April 3, 2026, in Omiya-ku, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture.

BASE WIMO is positioned as a "base" where more people, services, and communities can intersect, building upon the lifestyle-proposal elements of the existing "CASA WIMO" showrooms. As a place that connects cities with people and daily life with mobility, it is a space where you can experience the new vision of mobility envisioned by wimo.

While CASA WIMO is a private space themed around the "home," BASE WIMO is designed as a place where people gather and new activities and connections can flourish. In this more open space, visitors can view the COOZY and COOZY Light electric-assist bicycles, the URBAN BELT 650, and the wimo kids models, and experience the next generation of urban mobility as envisioned by wimo.

At BASE WIMO, we aim to provide personalized proposals through test-ride experiences while fostering a community rooted in the local area. We will also use this location as a testing ground to gradually implement new services and initiatives.
