Washinmura, a lodging facility situated in the lush, nature-filled Satoyama of Futtsu City, Chiba Prefecture, will hold a special winter event, 'Satoyama Christmas 2025-2026', from December 2025 to early January 2026.

Christmas decorations and photo spots will appear within the facility, alongside the simultaneous holding of the warm Kotatsu Mikan Festival! The free-roaming cats will also sport Christmas ribbons, allowing you to enjoy a special moment amidst the magical winter scenery.

Full Winter Atmosphere with Christmas Trees and Illuminations

In Washinmura's petting plaza, a gorgeous Christmas tree, bears with ribbons, and star-shaped illuminations will create a magical atmosphere.

Please enjoy a moment enveloped in visually delightful light displays while walking around the tree. Furthermore, the tree terrace and the area around the swings will be lit up, making it a popular photo spot for social media.

As night falls, a clear starry sky emerges, and the quiet time unique to a winter Satoyama flows gently.

Christmas Ribbons on Cats | Welcoming You with Adorable Looks

The cats that freely walk around the Washinmura grounds will also be adorned with small ribbons during the Christmas period.

Because the cats roam freely, the ribbons may occasionally come off, so the timing of your encounter is truly a matter of luck.

The now-annual 'Kotatsu Mikan Festival' will also be held during this winter period.
