Challenges in the Reuse Market and WASABI's Initiatives
Currently, against the backdrop of a declining birthrate and aging population, "hidden assets" (※1) that are usable but lie dormant in homes are increasing year by year, estimated to reach approximately 66 trillion yen.
In contrast, transactions by reuse item buyers and sellers amount to only approximately 3 trillion yen annually (※2).
Bringing these "hidden assets" to consumers is an important issue in realizing a circular society.

### System Development "WASABI SWITCH" to Accelerate Cross-Border Sales
Japanese reuse items are highly valued overseas, but expanding overseas involves multiple barriers such as language, logistics, and customer support.
