The [Synchro Bratop], part of the innerwear brand 'Wing' developed by Wacoal Corp. (HQ: Kyoto, Japan; Representative: Keisuke Kawanishi), has become a popular product, with cumulative shipments surpassing 2 million units (*1) since its launch in April 2019. It is chosen by women of various generations for its design that combines a 'comfortable fit' with a 'beautiful bust silhouette' while reducing constriction.

Ahead of summer, Wacoal conducted a survey (*2) on women's bratop usage. Among bratop wearers (843 people), the top concern was 'comfort' (all-year: 74.4%, summer: 44.5%). Furthermore, interest in 'material' significantly increased in summer, with about 40% (43.1%) prioritizing it.

Complaints about summer bratopping included 'muggy cups' (38.1%), 'stickiness' (18.5%), and 'concerns about odor' (16.8%), highlighting the need for functionalities such as breathability, moisture-wicking, and cool-touch properties.

To address these needs, the Synchro Bratop series offers items for comfortable summer wear, including moisture-wicking types with cool-touch materials for a smooth feel, and 'Cool Mesh' types designed for coolness using breathable mesh fabrics and perforated cups. All feature a structure without an under-bust band, reducing tightness while remaining stable and maintaining a beautiful silhouette.

As summer approaches, the Synchro Bratop series continues to offer items that combine comfort and functionality to solve seasonal concerns.

(*1) Period: April 2019 to December 2025. (*2) Survey period: April 1-13, 2026. Participants: 1,238 women (20s-60s). Method: Wacoal Members survey.

[Survey on Bratops] Material is key in summer, prioritized by over 40%.

Wacoal surveyed Wacoal members regarding bratop usage (*2). When asked, 'What is the most important point for you in a bratop?', the top answer for both all-year and summer was 'comfort' (All-year: 74.4%, Summer: 44.5%), followed by 'Material' (All-year: 11.9%, Summer: 43.1%) and 'Body Shaping' (All-year: 4.3%, Summer: 3.1%). About 70% prioritize 'comfort' year-round.

However, focusing on summer, interest in 'material' increased significantly, reaching 43.1%. This indicates growing demand for comfort-related functions like moisture-wicking and breathability.
