Aoyama Gakuin University Women's Ekiden Team, Established in April 2026, Signs Partnership Agreement with "CW-X". A New Collaboration Begins to Support Female Athletes Who Keep Running!

The conditioning wear brand "CW-X" developed by Wacoal Corp. (Headquarters: Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, President and Representative Director: Keisuke Kawanishi) has concluded a partnership agreement with the Aoyama Gakuin University Women's Ekiden team, which will be established in April 2026. This collaboration with the newly formed women's ekiden team at the Aoyama Gakuin University Track and Field Club, which has repeatedly won the Hakone Ekiden, is a first-time initiative for "CW-X" and aims to expand the possibilities for female athletes and support their success.

Sports is inherently a stage where everyone should have the opportunity to challenge themselves. In reality, however, the environment for continuing to compete is not always adequate. Female athletes, in particular, face many hurdles in continuing their athletic careers, such as balancing life events like higher education, employment, marriage, and childbirth, addressing female-specific physical issues, and establishing training environments. "CW-X" faces these challenges head-on and wants to create an environment where anyone, regardless of age or gender, can continue to compete in their own way.

Overlapping with this sentiment was the philosophy of Director Susumu Hara, who leads the men's long-distance block at the Aoyama Gakuin University Track and Field Club. Feeling a sense of crisis regarding the current decline in the female track and field population, Director Hara established the women's ekiden team based on the philosophy of "creating an environment where men and women can coexist, support each other, and elevate one another" and "wanting to be an existence that can deliver energy and courage even to ordinary women who are not competing." Welcoming two members, Waka Ashida (from Ritsumeikan Uji High School) and Eri Ikeno (from Suma Gakuen High School), who have built track records in national tournaments, a new challenge begins.

Under this partnership, we will provide sports bras, shorts, tights, and more to support the improvement of athletes' competitive abilities and the maintenance and enhancement of their condition. We will utilize feedback from actual use in product development and information dissemination.
