Main Features
Vstone Co., Ltd.'s research and development dolly robot series are robot platforms usable for various fields of research and development. They are characterized by a diverse lineup of main units with different wheel drive methods and payload capacities, as well as optional devices compatible with ROS 2 and various sensor options. Aiming to be a "truly easy-to-handle dolly robot" for developers, it allows for highly flexible customization and modification in both hardware and software, according to the purpose and application of research and development.
The newly released "Elevating Mechanism Option" is an exclusive option for the R&D dolly robot series, equipped with an elevating device (lift) for moving objects up and down. By installing an appropriate frame, it is possible to transport and operate not only objects but also sensor devices at varying heights. By combining it with a dolly robot as a "mobility platform," the overall utilization possibilities of the system are dramatically improved.
(1) Large-scale elevating mechanism mountable on dolly robots
This option is intended to be mounted on particularly large models among Vstone Co., Ltd.'s research and development dolly robots. By adding a large elevating mechanism to a highly mobile dolly robot, various applications become possible, such as transporting objects, collecting environmental information, and approaching real environments with robotic equipment.

(2) Internal counterweight for stable operation
The Elevating Mechanism Option for dolly robots can accommodate an internal counterweight. The weight of the counterweight can be adjusted as desired according to the weight of the transported items or payload, enabling stable operation.
Note that the assumed payload for this option is approximately 15kg, but it is possible to carry more weight by appropriately balancing the load. As the payload increases, the stability of the balance and ensuring safety become more important, so please exercise sufficient care during operation.
There is no guaranteed load capacity for this option.

(3) ROS 2 compatible and can be driven from the main dolly robot battery
This option can be powered by the battery built into the main dolly robot. Furthermore, by equipping the dolly robot with ROS 2 compatible devices such as the "ROS PC Option," this option can also be controlled as a ROS 2 compatible device. This enables implementation and operation that do not impair the mobility performance of the dolly robot.
(4) Flexible design changes and specification changes are possible (consultation required)
For this option, the overall height of the elevating mechanism and the target dolly robot can be flexibly changed. Design and manufacturing can be tailored to the requirements of ongoing research and development projects, so please contact our representative for details.
