The three-piece rock band "Sunao" has released the music video for their new song "Akogare".
While Sunao's music videos are often said to be set in natural environments, this one was filmed in an urban location.
The song expresses the emotion of longing, re-recognizing it as a "precious element that shapes me while shifting and not staying in one place," and depicts a strong will to affirm change and continue pursuing one's own value and passion.
The music video embodies this sentiment. Kazuma Kobayashi directed the video.
Sunao is currently in the midst of their three-month consecutive self-organized event "Idetachi," which began in May. They released the digital single "Akogare" in May and another digital single, "Fall into the lake," in June. In July, they will release the EP "Face To Face." This marks three consecutive months of live performances and three consecutive months of releases.
Furthermore, "Akogare" has been selected as the ending theme for the TBS program "Ousama no Buranchi" for one month, starting this month.
The new EP is titled "Face To Face" and includes the two most recent songs along with two new tracks. Both "Akogare" and "Fall into the lake," which are included in the EP, evoke the feeling of summer sunlight and the cool breeze blowing through it, making the two new songs highly anticipated. The EP will be available on all major streaming sites starting July 8th. It was also announced that "Face To Face" will be available as a cassette tape at merchandise booths during the final installment of their three-month consecutive self-organized event on July 12th at Kichijoji WARP.
This will be Sunao's first cassette tape release since "O2/Heisei" in 2024. As the cassette is a limited edition, it sold out immediately last time, so we recommend purchasing it at Kichijoji WARP on July 12th!
