Automotive technology leader Valeo has officially begun construction on its new manufacturing facility in McAllen, Texas. The group plans to invest $225 million over the next five years to build the 31,308-square-meter facility, which will employ up to 500 people. Production is scheduled to begin in late 2027. The plant will produce central computing units—liquid cooling systems with next-generation processors—for General Motors to support the industry's transition to software-defined vehicles (SDVs).
