V3D Asia Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Jun Asami; hereinafter “V3D Asia”), which develops 3D printing construction businesses primarily in Southeast Asia, is pleased to announce that Jeffrey Yang (楊 鐘輝), who has over 20 years of experience in architectural design and real estate development in the United States, China, and Southeast Asia, has been appointed as Chief Design Officer (CDO) of the V3D Asia Group.

Jeffrey began his career as an architect at world-renowned architectural firms Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), Robert A.M. Stern Architects, and GreenbergFarrow, building a solid foundation in high-level design practice. Subsequently, as an executive at major Hong Kong developers Hang Lung Properties and K11 Concept Limited (New World Group), he led large-scale luxury mixed-use developments in mainland China. Most recently, he served as Director / Head of Real Estate Development at Altus Capital Partners (Asia), a special situations investment fund.

V3D Asia aims to evolve 3D printing construction from a mere construction method innovation into a design strategy that enhances real estate value itself, by incorporating Jeffrey's expertise in both “world-class architectural design” and “Asian real estate development and investment.”

**Industry Challenge: The need for value creation beyond “efficiency”**

Until now, 3D printing construction has largely been discussed in the context of efficiency, such as reducing construction costs and addressing labor shortages. However, the true value of this construction method extends beyond that.

3D printing allows for curved, organic, and integrated forms that were difficult to achieve with conventional methods due to cost and time constraints. This directly leads to designs that harmonize with local culture and natural environments, spatial configurations that maximize land potential, and improved experiential value for hotels and residences.

Conversely, to unlock the full potential of 3D printing construction, design leadership capable of conceiving architectural design, constructability, business viability, and operational value from the earliest design stages is indispensable. Jeffrey's appointment as CDO directly addresses this challenge.
