Inageya Expands Central Kitchen Supply to Include Bento Meals

Inageya Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tachikawa City, Tokyo; President & CEO: Yoshikazu Motosugi) has begun selling bento meals produced at its central kitchen in collaboration with Sanfood Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tachikawa City, Tokyo; President & CEO: Kazuyuki Tachibana), its prepared food manufacturing subsidiary.

All original products from our group are available with the "Komorebi Seal" as a mark of authenticity.

The central kitchen operated by Sanfood Japan utilizes advanced cooking facilities to produce a wide variety of side dishes and desserts. It also processes and prepares ingredients for in-store use, helping to reduce store workload. This not only enables the delivery of high-quality products but also contributes to improved productivity and operational efficiency across our stores.

In addition to its current focus on side dishes (okazu), Inageya will now expand its central kitchen supply to include bento meals, made possible by the installation of a new production line in May 2026. Through joint research and development, the companies have achieved a level of taste that rivals in-store cooked dishes—simply by heating the meals in a microwave before consumption. Strengthening central kitchen production will not only reduce store labor burdens but also free up staff time to focus on expanding freshly prepared offerings and launching new product categories, ultimately enhancing the appeal of our sales floors.

Aromatic Chicken Bento

This bento features one whole premium thigh of "Matecha Chicken," raised on feed containing mate tea, known for its low fat content, health benefits, and rich flavor. Combined with finely chopped green onions and a sweet-and-tangy aromatic sauce, it delivers a refreshing yet deeply satisfying taste.

It is further complemented by a generous portion of house-made pepperoncini, making it a hearty and satisfying meal.

A collaborative bento between Inageya and Sanfood Japan, made with "pork loin" sold at our fresh meat counters. The pork is hand-cut into bite-sized strips and marinated in a proprietary sauce with an elevated ginger content, delivering a rich, aromatic flavor.

Spice-Infused Young Chicken Karaage Bento

Features thigh meat from "Matecha Chicken," known for its low fat and clean taste. Served with house-made Neapolitan spaghetti, this is a filling and satisfying classic bento.

Hamburger & Yangnyeom Chicken Bento

Designed to satisfy customers across all age groups, this bento features a juicy 120g hamburger patty that can be easily cut with chopsticks. Paired with a rich, deeply flavored demi-glace sauce, it offers a luxurious dining experience. Served with special Neapolitan spaghetti and homemade yangnyeom chicken, this is a fusion-style international bento.
