Held the '12th Kasumi Empathy Creation Forest' Tree Planting Festival

Kasumi Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture; President and Representative Director: Fumitaka Orimoto) held the '12th Kasumi Empathy Creation Forest Tree Planting Festival' on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Wagoku Atago Prefectural Natural Park in Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture. This event is held annually as part of the 'Kasumi Empathy Creation Forest' forest regeneration project, which has been ongoing since 2011, providing a place for local residents and employees to learn together about the importance of environmental conservation. Under clear skies, a total of 242 participants, including Kasama City staff, Boy Scouts, and the Aeon Cheers Club Kasumi Tsukuba, planted 268 saplings, including commemorative cherry blossoms (Button-zakura) and general plantings of mountain cherry (Yamazakura), Spiraea (Yukiyanagi), and Forsythia (Rengyo). To date, a total of 5,476 people have participated, planting 25,930 trees.
