Universal Music LLC (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Naoshi Fujikura) will release the soundtrack for the film 'K-POPS!', titled 'K-POPS! (Music from and inspired by K-POPS! Motion Picture)', on Friday, May 29.

Nine-time Grammy Award winner Anderson .Paak makes his feature film directorial debut with 'K-POPS!', which begins streaming on Netflix on Saturday, May 30. The soundtrack features 17 tracks, including songs used in the film and others inspired by it. Participating artists include JID, G-DRAGON, aespa, LNGSHOT, NMIXX, DEAN, Kevin Woo (Mystery Saja from 'Kpop Demon Hunters'), JOSHUA of SEVENTEEN, Hongjoong of ATEEZ, and SOYEON of (G)I-DLE. Anderson .Paak himself is featured throughout the project, and his son, Soul Rasheed, makes his musical debut.

The single 'Aftertaste', featuring Seoul-based alternative R&B artist DEAN, and the groovy pop track 'Keychain', a collaboration with global group aespa, were produced by executive producer Dem Jointz (known for work with Jennie and Eminem) with additional production by Anderson .Paak. The album also includes a new version of 'Too Bad', a single by Anderson .Paak and G-DRAGON released in 2025, which reached #30 on the Billboard Global 200 and won a MAMA Award.

'K-POPS!' is a story about a father and son whose fates intersect unexpectedly against the backdrop of a fictional K-pop contest show in Seoul, exploring themes of generational bonds and cultural exchange through music. .Paak wrote, directed, and starred in the film alongside his real-life son, Soul Rasheed. 'K-POPS!' currently holds a 'Certified Fresh' rating on Rotten Tomatoes and has received critical acclaim from major media outlets including Forbes, Variety, Billboard, The Boston Globe, The Los Angeles Times, and the NAACP.
