Uniontec Co., Ltd. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President Yusuke Okawa), which provides one-stop interior design, design, and construction services for offices, commercial spaces, and residences with the mission to "Build a new standard," has participated as a spatial design partner for the spatial design and construction of "nico wellness Dental Clinic Hiroo," a flagship center for preventive dental care promoted by Doctorbook Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Masato Soma).
This facility opened in 2026 as a flagship center aiming for the social implementation of preventive dental care advocated by Doctorbook. It serves as a consultation point for dental care for consumers and a base for medical professionals to experience the latest equipment and treatment environments. Uniontec supported the realization of a new patient experience in Japanese dental care through the implementation of medical spaces integrating medical equipment, spatial design, and experience design.
Project Overview
"nico wellness Dental Clinic Hiroo" has opened as a flagship center for preventive dental care with functions for both consumers and medical professionals. It goes beyond simple dental treatment to propose beauty and health starting from the mouth. It offers cutting-edge total care, focusing on "wellness" and considering overall health, for a wide range of generations, from children to the elderly, covering everything from dentistry to aesthetic medicine.
While there are numerous dental clinics in Japan (*), consumers face the challenge of "not knowing where to go." Cavities and periodontal disease can lead to irreversible treatments if they progress, making the choice of medical institution significant.
In recent years, the link between periodontal disease and systemic diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease has been pointed out (*), and interest is growing in the important role that oral health management plays in maintaining overall health.
Against this backdrop, this facility has established a patient flow that allows consumers to first consult and understand their oral condition, and then be referred to a specialist if necessary. It fulfills the role of a "dental clinic's front desk" envisioned by Doctorbook. The aim is to implement a dental care model that supports everything from prevention and treatment to ongoing maintenance and specialist collaboration.
On the other hand, it serves as a demonstration base for medical professionals to actually experience the latest equipment and treatment environments. It is also envisioned for information sharing through a network of medical professionals and as a practical field for practicing preventive dental care.
