"UCC COFFEE ACADEMY FESTIVAL in TOKYO" to be held on May 29th and 30th

A special event, "UCC COFFEE ACADEMY FESTIVAL in TOKYO," will be held on Friday, May 29th, and Saturday, May 30th, at the Tokyo campus of "UCC Coffee Academy," a coffee-specialized educational institution of the UCC Group. We offer numerous experiential programs that can be enjoyed by a wide range of people, from coffee beginners to enthusiasts.

The UCC Group aims to realize its purpose, "Unleashing the power of coffee for a better world," by exploring new possibilities for coffee and challenging the creation of unprecedented coffee value. "UCC Coffee Academy" was established by centralizing the knowledge and technologies related to coffee that the UCC Group has cultivated since its founding, providing a systematic and progressive learning environment for all things coffee. The Kobe campus opened in 2007, and the Tokyo campus, which includes a "Group Showroom," opened in 2015. It offers a wide range of specialized coffee seminars for everyone from beginners to those who want to work in coffee, with a cumulative total of approximately 197,000 participants to date, nearing 200,000 (as of the end of 2025).

At this event, we will implement plans such as the "Coffee Championship," which can be enjoyed like a game, targeting a wide range of people from coffee beginners to enthusiasts.

We offer a variety of free programs, including a stamp rally where you can find your favorite cup through coffee tasting comparisons, a quick coffee grinder challenge, and an experience to accurately measure the amount of hot water during extraction.

In addition, as paid programs, special seminars planned by instructors of UCC Coffee Academy Tokyo for this event will be held, such as a lecture that carefully explains how to choose coffee at a cafe, and a "My Blend Experience" where participants can create their original blend.

Through this event, UCC Coffee Academy aims to introduce many people to the new charms of coffee.

Free Programs

- Coffee Stamp Rally A project where participants collect stamps by joining the following three challenges while drinking coffee. Those who collect all stamps will receive a small gift. * A data communication enabled device such as a smartphone is required to participate in this project. - Water-brewed coffee tasting comparison: The UCC Group is developing new products of "water-brewed coffee" made carefully with water. Participants will compare several types. - Coffee Diagnosis: Participants can discover their favorite coffee from the coffee diagnosis panel available at the venue. - Aroma Quiz: Participants will answer a quiz by smelling things often used to describe coffee flavors and aromas.

- Academy Original "Coffee Championship" [Advance Reservation Required] The UCC Coffee Academy original coffee championship will be held over two days. There are three categories as listed below. - [Planned by Lecturer Fujiwara] Beginner Experiment! Fujiwara's Way to Choose Coffee for Cafe Lovers (60 minutes) [2,200 JPY (tax included) *Advance Reservation Required] This seminar will clearly explain how to choose coffee and key points for extraction for those who are troubled by coffee selection. Lecturer Fujiwara, who enjoys cafe hopping as a hobby, will provide practical one-point advice. - Friday, May 29, 2026, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM * This seminar will be held before the event opens.
