Learn About Us In 2005, over five million people in Taiwan showed their generosity by making charitable donations, amounting to approximately NT$42.7 billion in a single year. However, the applicable laws and regulations were outdated and inadequate, failing to protect donor rights and limiting the fair survival and development of philanthropic organizations. Therefore, with the aim of safeguarding donor rights, strengthening donor confidence in philanthropic organizations, and assisting philanthropic organizations in having a fair and reasonable space for survival and development, 30 philanthropic organizations conceived the establishment of the "Taiwan Philanthropic Organizations Self-Regulatory Alliance." They hope to collectively create a virtuous environment for the survival and development of philanthropic organizations through the proactive promotion of self-regulation and external regulation (legislation).
