We are pleased to announce that Tetsuya Komuro, Representative Director of our subsidiaries Pavilions Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo) and SOUND PORT Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo), has participated in a school song production project utilizing AI technology in his capacity as a Visiting Chief Scientist at the RIKEN research institute.

1. Project Overview
This project was led by a research team including Team Director Masatoshi Hamanaka of RIKEN. The school song was created using AI technology for the "Kuwana City Tado Gakuen," a combined elementary and junior high school scheduled to open in Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture, in April 2026. Mr. Komuro collaborated on this project as a Visiting Chief Scientist at RIKEN, where he played the role of selecting the most suitable song for the school from four AI-generated candidates.

2. Production Process
(1) Lyrics
Utilized an AI model that generates lyrics from keywords. The quality was enhanced through an iterative process where humans edited the output, followed by the AI generating new lyrics based on those edits.
(2) Composition
Built a system where, based on melodies created by human composers, parts are rewritten by AI-suggested melodies. Children in Kuwana City used this system to create the musical material.
(3) Selection and Finishing
Candidates were narrowed down using AI technology from Kyushu University that analyzes the harmony between lyrics and melody, and composers from the Tokyo University of the Arts finalized the four candidate songs. Mr. Komuro participated in the final selection of the one song deemed most appropriate for the school song.

3. Participating Institutions
RIKEN: Project management and development of the AI composition system
Kyushu University: AI technology for analyzing the harmony between lyrics and melody
Tokyo University of the Arts: Finishing (composition) of candidate songs
Students of Kuwana City Tado Gakuen: Creation of melodic material using the AI system
