The 'Kyofushin-ten' exhibition, which opened on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Grand Front Osaka in Osaka, is now being extended. This exhibition, a collaboration between emerging horror writer Nashi, G.K. Yami, and TV Tokyo producer Omori Tokie, known for works like 'Looking for Kikue Ishinaga' and 'Apology to the Iinuma Family,' focuses on 'fear' itself. The Tokyo exhibition in the summer of 2025 attracted approximately 130,000 visitors and generated significant buzz.

In Osaka, the exhibition has also attracted a large number of visitors, with ticket sales exceeding 50,000. In response to this popularity, the exhibition period, originally scheduled to end on Sunday, May 10, 2026, has been extended until Sunday, May 17, 2026.

The 'Kyofushin-ten' features exhibits on various themes of 'fear,' such as 'points,' 'enclosed spaces,' and 'gazes.' In addition to the content from the Tokyo exhibition, there are also exhibits exclusive to the Osaka venue, allowing many visitors to experience confronting their own 'fears.'

At the 'Kyofushin-ten Osaka' venue, a collaboration project commemorating the Osaka event is underway.

Takorukun profile

'Takorukun' debuted as a program promotion character in October 2002 and was promoted to a station character in December of the same year.

His real name is 'Naniwa-ryu Takoru.' He is a laid-back and easygoing character. Does he have 'fear'? He dreams of becoming a full-fledged takoyaki and, together with his dependable travel partner Tacobei, takes on various adventures every day.

For 23 years since his birth, he has been warmly watched over and loved by the people of Osaka, and is a character of TV Osaka.

The apprehension or anxiety a person physiologically feels towards something.

It can arise not only from things that involve immediate danger to life or pain, but also from things that, at first glance, do not seem to be objects of fear.

These fears sometimes come with an inexplicable irrationality.

At the Kyofushin-ten, we present an exhibition themed around 'fear,' which people harbor towards various things, such as 'points,' 'enclosed spaces,' and 'gazes.'
