The ranking evaluates anime broadcast or streamed in Japan between January 1, 2026, and June 30, 2026, using ★ scores provided by Filmarks users.

Topping the 2026 first-half ranking is 'Steel Ball Run JoJo's Bizarre Adventure,' the seventh part of Hirohiko Araki's 'JoJo's Bizarre Adventure' manga series.

Viewers praised the series with comments such as 'The animation of horses galloping across vast American landscapes is breathtaking,' 'An amazing work that thrills even those familiar with the original,' and 'I can't wait to see what happens next!'
