Three architectural properties constructed by Tsujino Construction Industry Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tobetsu-cho, Ishikari-gun, Hokkaido; President: Hiroshi Tsujino) have been featured in the case study collection of wooden buildings, 'HOKKAIDO WOOD BUILDING 2025,' published by Hokkaido (Department of Fisheries and Forestry). Through this, it is expected that our excellent wooden architecture will contribute to the expansion of the use of Hokkaido-grown timber.
3 Featured Projects: Multifaceted Use of Wood This case study collection registers and introduces buildings that use a certain percentage or more of Hokkaido timber to broadly convey its appeal. This time, the following three facilities constructed by our company were selected. 1. Tobetsu Clinic (Medical Facility): Realized a gentle space where the warmth of wood gives patients peace of mind. 2. Tobetsu Gakuen (Educational Facility): Provides a rich environment where children leading the next generation can learn while touching the texture of wood. 3. Office (Commercial Facility): An advanced wooden office that enhances workers' well-being and stimulates creativity.
3 Reasons Why Tsujino Construction Industry Advocates Choosing 'Wood' Now Our company believes that wooden architecture is not just a design choice, but an important strategic choice. 1. Economic Advantage (Cost Reduction): As building material costs continue to soar, wooden architecture tends to keep construction costs down compared to reinforced concrete (RC) and steel (S) structures. It is widely attracting attention as high-quality yet cost-effective architecture from residential to non-residential (public/commercial) sectors. 2. Regional Contribution through Local Consumption: Proactively utilizing timber produced in Hokkaido directly connects to the revitalization of local industries. By promoting local consumption, we support Hokkaido's forestry and contribute to realizing a sustainable community (SDGs). 3. Gentle Impression and Psychological Value: The soft texture and scent unique to wood provide users with a psychological sense of security. We are convinced that this 'gentle impression' holds a value more important than function in medical and educational settings.
As Wood Professionals Through large-scale wooden buildings such as custom homes, offices, and 'Nordic Wind Road Station Tobetsu,' our company has polished architectural techniques optimized for Hokkaido's climate. We will continue to pursue the possibilities of 'wood' and expand rich, community-rooted town development from Tobetsu Town to the whole of Hokkaido.
