Residents can access it from the LINE they normally use, and since no app installation is required, it is easy for elderly people and those unfamiliar with IT to use.

A key feature is that it includes functions useful in daily life, such as health advice and walking records. By providing a reason to use the app daily, it helps maintain continuous disaster awareness and leads to 'actions to protect oneself and one's family (self-help)' during a disaster. By incorporating the concept of 'phase-free', the app is designed to allow disaster prevention to be seamlessly integrated into daily life.

Background

In recent years, while disaster prevention measures in local governments have been advancing digitally, disaster prevention education and evacuation drills for residents still primarily rely on analog methods, posing challenges in participation rates and effectiveness. Furthermore, although self-help actions are crucial during disasters, opportunities to learn about disaster prevention on a daily basis are insufficient.

Against this backdrop, the government's planned Disaster Management Agency, aiming for establishment around November 2026, is expected to serve as a command center for 'thorough pre-disaster prevention' and 'consistent disaster response from initial response to recovery and reconstruction.' 'Jibun BOUS-AI' is a disaster prevention education and training app available on LINE. Through functions such as evacuation drills, disaster prevention quizzes, and AI chat, users can acquire disaster prevention knowledge and action skills enjoyably.

It also incorporates a point activity (hereinafter 'poka-katsu') element, awarding points for walking or participating in drills, promoting continued use. By visualizing users' disaster awareness and behavioral tendencies through their usage status, it can also be utilized for local government disaster prevention measures.

1. Disaster Prevention Drills Anytime, Anywhere Users can select an evacuation shelter based on the local government's hazard map and physically walk to experience the evacuation process. Furthermore, a function to report dangerous locations contributes to improving regional safety.

2. Making Disaster Prevention Personal through Point Activities Points are awarded for evacuation drills and daily walking. Accumulated points can be exchanged for QUO Card Pay, etc., providing motivation to continue participating in disaster prevention.

3. Daily Disaster Prevention Quiz A daily disaster prevention quiz is provided. This helps make app usage a habit and improves disaster prevention knowledge.

5. Walking Records (Free Walks) Users can record walks outside of evacuation drills and receive AI-driven health advice. This can be used for maintaining and improving health through daily use.

6. Information Dissemination Function for Local Governments Local governments can send out information on fire prevention, crime prevention, alerts, etc., in addition to disaster prevention information. A confirmation test function encourages viewing, and respondents can earn points.
