Judgment Report: Defamation and Discriminatory Remarks Lawsuit by City Council Member Targeting Private Company

TryHard Japan Co., Ltd. (Chuo-ku, Osaka City) filed a damages lawsuit against Sennan City Council member Shiori Soeda and Sennan City as defendants with the Osaka District Court on February 2, 2024.

The central issue in this lawsuit was whether Ms. Soeda's statements concerning the company constituted defamation and discriminatory remarks.

Today, the Osaka District Court partially acknowledged the claims of TryHard Japan Co., Ltd., and issued a judgment ordering Ms. Soeda to pay compensation.
