Rakuten Mobile, Inc. announced that its 5G-compatible home router, 'Rakuten Turbo,' which allows users to build a Wi-Fi environment at home simply by plugging it into an outlet without the need for construction, has ranked first overall in the newly established 'Home Router' category of the '2026 Oricon Customer Satisfaction Survey' conducted by Oricon Inc. Additionally, the company's fiber-optic service, 'Rakuten Hikari,' achieved its first-ever overall number one ranking in the 'Internet Service (Wide-Area Enterprise)' category.
In the new 'Home Router' ranking, 'Rakuten Turbo' secured the top spot in four out of six evaluation categories: 'Ease of Joining/Activation,' 'Pricing/Campaigns,' 'Cost Performance,' and 'Customer Support.' It also received high marks for 'Communication Comfort' and 'Perceived Value for Money.'
'Rakuten Hikari' ranked first in five out of six evaluation categories in the 'Internet Service (Wide-Area Enterprise)' ranking, including 'Ease of Joining/Activation Procedures,' 'Pricing Plans,' 'Cost Performance,' 'Customer Support,' and 'Ancillary Services,' marking its first overall victory.
Rakuten Mobile has been providing various services and campaigns to support customers' digital lives. Since March 2025, the company has offered the 'Strongest Home Program,' which makes the 'Rakuten Saikyo Plan' effectively free for life when combined with eligible internet services, a program that has been widely adopted by customers.
Furthermore, to support adoption, the company is running the 'Rakuten Turbo 5G Device Cost Effectively Zero Yen Campaign' and the 'Rakuten Hikari Construction Cost Effectively Free Campaign,' allowing customers to set up their home communication environments with minimal initial costs.
Additionally, by subscribing to 'Rakuten Turbo' or 'Rakuten Hikari' and combining them with other eligible Rakuten Group services, customers can benefit from the 'SPU (Super Point Up Program),' which increases points earned on 'Rakuten Ichiba' by +2x, plus an additional +4x for 'Rakuten Mobile' subscribers, totaling a +6x point multiplier when both services are used together, making daily life more affordable and convenient.
