Rakuten STAY Grand Opens "Rakuten STAY VILLA Kusatsu Onsen" in a Forested Area of Kusatsu Town, Gunma Prefecture

Rakuten Group, Inc. (hereinafter "Rakuten")'s accommodation brand "Rakuten STAY," operated by Rakuten STAY Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Rakuten STAY"), will grand open "Rakuten STAY VILLA Kusatsu Onsen" (hereinafter "this facility") in Kusatsu Town, Gunma Prefecture, on Tuesday, May 26. Reservations for accommodation have begun on the "Rakuten STAY" official website and app, Rakuten's travel booking service "Rakuten Travel," and affiliated domestic and international accommodation booking sites.

This facility is a villa-type accommodation with 5 buildings and a total of 17 rooms, located on a quiet site approximately 6 minutes by car from Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal. A national forest with "Forest Healing Walkways" spreads around, allowing guests to enjoy forest bathing and walks amidst the rich nature that changes with the seasons. Each room is equipped with a cypress barrel bath where guests can enjoy the Manzaikou hot spring source, known for its strong acidity, as well as a heated bath (Note), allowing guests to enjoy bathing according to their preferences. All rooms are two-story maisonettes of over 90 square meters, featuring high ceilings in the living and dining areas, and a kitchen equipped with extensive appliances and cooking utensils, providing a private space where guests can relax and enjoy meals and gatherings in an open atmosphere.

In addition, all rooms are equipped with projectors and multiple bedrooms, and some rooms have saunas with löyly, allowing each guest to relax even when staying with a large group. Furthermore, room doors are compatible with smart locks that can be unlocked using a key number notified by email in advance, enabling smooth entry. Check-in and check-out are performed using a tablet device in the room.

This facility also has 3 dog-friendly rooms where a total of up to two small, medium, or large dogs can stay together. The rooms are always equipped with cages, pet beds, food bowls, pet sheets, dust boxes, and etiquette bags, and the entrance has a lead hook and a foot-washing area.

For accommodation plans with meals, breakfast and dinner featuring specialties from Gunma Prefecture are provided. Guests can simply take pre-prepared ingredients from the refrigerator and do simple cooking to enjoy the local cuisine at their own pace. For dinner, there are four types: "Joshu Beef and Inaka Pork Sukiyaki," "Akagi Beef and Yamato Pork Teppanyaki," "Kuni-ai Maitake and Inaka Pork Mushroom Hot Pot," and "Kuni-ai Maitake and Seafood Mountain and Sea Tomato Hot Pot" which can be enjoyed with a Takasaki pasta-inspired finish. For breakfast, there are two types: a Japanese breakfast and a Western breakfast, both using Silk Salmon, a brand fish from Gunma Prefecture.
