Rakuten Mobile Becomes the Only Domestic Carrier to Handle Nothing's Smartphone 'Phone (4a) Pro', Reservations Start Wednesday, April 15

Rakuten Mobile, Inc. (hereinafter "Rakuten Mobile") will become the only domestic mobile carrier to handle the "Phone (4a) Pro" manufactured by UK-based Nothing, and will begin accepting reservations from 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15 on the Rakuten Mobile official website and the "Rakuten Mobile Official Rakuten Ichiba Store" (Note 1). It will be released at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22 for 78,900 yen (tax included) on the "Rakuten Mobile" official website, "Rakuten Mobile Shops", and the "Rakuten Mobile Official Rakuten Ichiba Store" (Notes 2, 3). This product is a smartphone equipped with a high-performance camera supporting up to 140x zoom in an aluminum unibody (Note 4).

"Phone (4a) Pro"
By using ongoing campaigns, customers who apply for "Rakuten Saikyo Plan" or "Rakuten Saikyo U-NEXT" for the first time by switching from another company with their phone number intact will receive up to 16,000 "Rakuten Points" back, allowing them to purchase this product at an effective price of 62,900 yen compared to the product price of 78,900 yen (tax included) (Notes 5, 6, 7, 8).

The "Phone (4a) Pro" features a sophisticated design that uses aircraft-grade aluminum for its unibody. A futuristic metallic gloss has been added to Nothing's unique mechanical design. The metal body provides a cool sensation when held in the hand and is designed to efficiently dissipate internal heat.

The camera is equipped with a professional-grade triple camera system, supporting shooting at a wide range of focal lengths, from 0.6x ultra-wide to 140x ultra-zoom. It features a 50MP Sony main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), allowing you to beautifully capture details from close up to far away, day or night. Furthermore, this product is the world's first smartphone to support up to 140x ultra-zoom (Notes 4, 9).

In addition, it has best-in-class camera processing capabilities. Equipped with "TrueLens Engine 4", advanced multi-frame RAW processing, and 12-layer AI segmentation, it can clearly depict the details of the subject in shooting modes such as Ultra XDR photo, motion photo, and portrait. It also supports 4K Ultra XDR video recording.
