Transcosmos has been entrusted with the Small and Medium Enterprise Digitalization Support Project utilizing startups, implemented by the Tokyo Metropolitan Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion Corporation, a public interest foundation and policy collaboration organization of Tokyo. Addressing the chronic shortage of digital talent in SMEs, the project will match innovative startups—key drivers of industrial growth and social innovation—with SMEs to secure and cultivate digital talent through reskilling programs highly aligned with AI and DX initiatives.

This marks the third consecutive year of selection for the project, reinforcing sustained efforts to promote digital transformation among SMEs in Tokyo.

Under this initiative, Transcosmos will assist Tokyo-based SMEs struggling with labor shortages by formulating customized reskilling strategies aligned with each company’s management challenges and providing comprehensive support throughout implementation. Training programs will cover a wide range of cutting-edge digital fields, including AI, DX, data analytics, IoT, RPA, low-code/no-code platforms for citizen developers, robotics, digital marketing, and information security, offering holistic support for SME digitalization.

For the administrative operations of this project, Transcosmos will leverage its accumulated expertise to deliver business design and operational management powered by DX technologies.

The entire process—from application management and progress tracking to performance reporting—will be centrally managed on a business operations management platform. By integrating its deep back-office expertise with business excellence methodologies and advanced technologies, Transcosmos will optimize the administrative efficiency of the project.

Amid worsening labor shortages and increasingly complex social and business environments, societal challenges are mounting, as are those faced by local governments. Transcosmos aims to become a co-creation partner for society, expanding its social impact and maximizing societal well-being by actively addressing these challenges.

Moving forward, Transcosmos will continue to support local government initiatives through hands-on advisory and matching services, leveraging its proven track record and technological expertise.
