Regarding the New Release of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group's Financial and Economic Education Program

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc. (President and Group CEO: Hironori Kamezawa, hereinafter MUFG) is actively promoting financial and economic education as an initiative to improve financial literacy, recognizing that the asset management business is a crucial undertaking to revitalize the Japanese economy and is positioned as one of its medium-to-long-term growth strategies in the context of the government's "Nation Building for Asset Management." Within this framework, we are launching new programs, "Learning How to Use Money with Momotetsu" and "The Power of Money - VENTURE - ", which are designed for students to learn in a fun, game-like format and are easy for teachers and school staff to incorporate into their lessons.

"Learning How to Use Money with Momotetsu" is a program in collaboration with the browser version "Momotaro Dentetsu Education Edition Lite ~Japan is Interesting!~" provided by Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. (President and Representative Director: Hideki Hayakawa) to educational institutions. With the concept of "learning how to use money proactively while leveraging the fun of games," it has been developed for elementary school 5th graders to junior high school students.

Furthermore, "The Power of Money - VENTURE - " is a new educational material in MUFG's inquiry-based financial and economic education program series, "The Power of Money." Developed by Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities Co., Ltd. (President and Representative Director: Makoto Kobayashi) with the concept of "nurturing the 'entrepreneurial spirit' necessary for everyone living in the coming era within school education," it is designed for junior high school to university students.

Both programs, "Learning How to Use Money with Momotetsu" and "The Power of Money - VENTURE - ", have been jointly developed with Education & Exploration Inc. (President and Representative Director: Kanji Miyaji).

Applications for both programs can be made through MUFG's financial and economic education portal site "Manebiya"[1] for schools and educational institutions nationwide.

With the purpose of "Becoming the power that moves the world," MUFG has set priority issues (priority challenges) for sustainability management to realize a sustainable environment and society. Financial and economic education is positioned as one of the main measures for "Addressing declining birthrate and aging population," which is one of its priority challenges. For financial and economic education for students, we have offered a wide range of educational materials for elementary school to university students and have conducted various activities with teachers and school staff through outreach classes and inquiry-based programs.

This new financial and economic education program is designed to be implemented in a shorter period than conventional programs and in a game format, making it an initiative to deliver financial and economic education to a larger number of students. As a financial institution, we will continue to contribute to the improvement of financial literacy as a group, aiming to become the power that supports the future of the children who will lead the next generation.
