Hotel Royal Kyoto Presents 'Peach Fair 2026': A Summer-Long Celebration of Peaches with Sweets and 'Oshikatsu' Photo Experiences

Hotel Royal Kyoto (Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto, General Manager Tomomi Nakaya) will host 'Peach Fair 2026' from Monday, June 29, 2026, to Sunday, September 6, 2026, at its Lounge. The event celebrates the sweet aroma and flavor of peaches through a variety of peach-centric desserts.

The 'Both-Sided Peach Parfait' highlights the rich sweetness of beautifully layered peach compote, enhanced with a fragrant almond-flavored blancmange. Vibrantly colored peaches tinted with raspberry and the refreshing sparkle of lemon jelly create a delightful lingering peach aftertaste. A heart-shaped frame on top allows guests to place their favorite acrylic stands or plush toys for a unique 'oshi-katsu shot'—a special photo experience available only this summer.

'Momobom' is a luxurious reinterpretation of the classic summer shaved ice, designed to let guests fully enjoy the deliciousness of peaches. The fluffy peach shaved ice is topped with a perfect pairing of fresh peaches and mascarpone espuma. As you dig in, you'll discover the traditional British dessert 'Peach Melba,' creating a harmonious blend of classic Western and uniquely Japanese peach sweets in your mouth. The crispy texture of freshly baked waffles adds a delightful accent, offering a premium, hotel-exclusive experience that goes far beyond ordinary shaved ice.

The 'Peach Afternoon Tea Set' features six unique desserts and nine savory items, all crafted to showcase the full charm of peaches. Opening the glass cloche releases a cool mist infused with peach fragrance, revealing a three-tiered stack of peach pancakes. The plate is adorned with visually delightful treats such as peach shortcake, peach tart, and a lifelike peach mousse meticulously crafted by the pastry chef.
