Rihga Royal Hotel Kyoto (Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto; General Manager: Tomohisa Nakatani) will host the 'Tokushima Fair' at its Teppanyaki Aoi restaurant from June 1 (Mon) to June 30 (Tue), 2026, featuring special teppanyaki courses centered on the premium 'Tokushima Mitsuboshi Beef Gold Star.'
At the Teppanyaki Aoi 'Tokushima Fair,' guests can enjoy luxury teppanyaki courses starring 'Tokushima Mitsuboshi Beef Gold Star,' a Japanese Black Wagyu beef raised with care by certified producers under the 'JGAP Livestock Certification' in a rich natural environment.
'JGAP Livestock' is a certification awarded to farms that meet high-level management standards, including farm sanitation, occupational safety, environmental conservation, and animal hygiene. Raised under these strict criteria, Gold Star beef is known for its fine marbling, melt-in-the-mouth texture, and deep umami, earning high acclaim from food lovers both within and outside the prefecture.
For this fair, Teppanyaki Aoi Chef Daisuke Ukai has designed exclusive lunch and dinner courses to bring out the maximum appeal of the beef. Incorporating Tokushima-produced ingredients throughout from appetizer to dessert, the courses offer a moment filled with the bounty of Tokushima’s nature. In the second dish, 'Tokushima Mitsuboshi Beef Gold Star Loin and Grilled Hamo Pike Conger in Japanese Dashi with Tokushima Sudachi Citrus,' the beef and pike conger are grilled before the guests' eyes and drenched in a fragrant dashi broth condensed with the flavor of the pike conger. Finished with thinly sliced Tokushima-grown sudachi, the dish offers the refreshing and elegant essence of early summer.
Additionally, as a new initiative, six types of seasonings and condiments, including Tokushima Yukou vinegar ponzu and red wine salt, will be provided. Guests can enjoy the main course, 'Tokushima Mitsuboshi Beef Gold Star Fillet or Loin,' with various flavor profiles through different combinations of these seasonings.
