RIHGA Royal Hotel Kyoto (Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto; General Manager: Tomohisa Nakatani) will collaborate with Wazuka Town, located in southern Kyoto Prefecture and certified as a "Japan Heritage" site, to host a three-day "Furumai-cha" (serving free tea) event in the first-floor lobby from May 3 (Sun/Holiday) to 5 (Tue/Holiday), 2026. This event is part of the "Kyoto Uji Wazuka Tea Fair," a continuous partnership since 2005, and is held ahead of the main fair. Guests can enjoy a special sensory experience with the refreshing aroma and flavor of new Uji tea, harvested in Wazuka. On the first day, May 3, students from Ritsumeikan Uji High School will participate as staff members as part of their social service activities. Experience the rich tea culture nurtured in Wazuka for 800 years and spend a relaxing moment surrounded by the scent of new tea.
