Toyo Engineering Corporation (President & CEO: Eiji Hosoi; hereinafter “TOYO”) announced that Jin Sha, an employee of TOYO, has received the FY2025 SCEJ Award for Outstanding Women’s Activity, presented by the Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan (SCEJ).*
The award recognizes individuals who have delivered outstanding technical achievements or research in chemical engineering or related industries, while also contributing to initiatives and workplace environments that promote gender equality and inclusion.
This marks the first time a TOYO employee has received this award.
**About the Recipient**
Jin Sha was appointed in 2009 as TOYO’s first female Project Engineering Manager. Since then, she has served in key leadership roles, including Project Manager, on multiple overseas plant construction projects.
In addition, she has made long-term contributions to developing TOYO’s project management capability across the Group, including overseas affiliates. Her efforts include:
- organizing and strengthening project management knowledge and standards,
- establishing training and development programs, and
- supporting improvements in engineering design quality.
These contributions, together with her leadership as a role model for women engineers, were highly recognized and led to her selection for the award.
