TOYO CORPORATION will commence full-scale domestic sales of iMotions A/S's integrated biosignal measurement platform, "iMotions Lab," starting June 29, 2026. This product is a platform that comprehensively collects, visualizes, and analyzes biosignal data, including gaze, facial expression, brainwaves, and heart rate, through a single interface. TOYO CORPORATION will propose its utilization in areas such as the development of autonomous driving and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) functions, and research into vehicle ride comfort, thereby supporting the efficient development of safe and comfortable automobiles.

[Overview/Background]

In recent years, the importance of design and improvements in UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience) based on human characteristics and behavior has been increasing in many fields. In the automotive industry, as the development of autonomous driving and ADAS progresses, an appropriate relationship design between the driver and the system is required. The utilization of biosignal data is attracting attention as a means to quantitatively grasp the "emotions" and "cognitive states" behind human decision-making and behavior. Biosignal data is acquired by placing biosensors on various parts of the body. However, data acquired from each sensor requires post-processing for synchronization and analysis, leading to complex data management and challenges in the time required for analysis.

The "iMotions Lab," which will be launched for sale, is a modular platform that enables research design, stimulus presentation, data collection, visualization, and analysis. In automotive development sites, biosignal data is used for evaluating driver attention status and cognitive load, verifying the visibility and operability of HMI (Human-Machine Interface), and researching driver monitoring systems (DMS). For example, by multi-dimensionally capturing reactions such as where the driver and occupants are looking, whether they are appropriately noticing warning displays, and whether they are feeling stress during operation, it contributes to improving safety and operability.

Furthermore, "iMotions Lab" supports both simulator environments and real-world driving tests, enabling the understanding of driver behavior under various conditions. In addition to raw data, the system supports processed data and the extraction of indicators using dedicated algorithms (R-notebooks), contributing to faster and standardized analysis.
