World-Recognized Next-Generation BEV "Kia PV5"

"PBV" is based on an EV-dedicated platform developed by pouring in the technology Kia has accumulated. By combining various bodies and specifications, it achieves a low-floor, flat structure and a spacious interior. Unlike conventional "standardized" cars where the manufacturer determines specifications assuming specific uses, it is a multi-purpose EV mobility that can be expanded and customized according to the user's applications and needs.

The PV5, which began sequential sales in Europe and South Korea in the second half of 2025, has been highly evaluated for its advanced nature and practicality, winning major awards primarily in Europe.

It won the "2026 International Van of the Year" in the light commercial vehicle (LCV) category hosted by the non-profit organization International Van of the Year, as well as "Family Car of the Year" by Top Gear, and "Van of the Year" by What Van?.

Winner of the "2026 International Van of the Year"

It was also selected as "Van of the Year" at the Electrifying.com awards and the "2025 News UK Motor Awards" hosted by News UK, and achieved a double crown as "Van of the Year" and "Best EV Van" at the "2026 Parkers Van and Pickup Awards" hosted by Parkers.

Furthermore, the PV5 Cargo was certified with a Guinness World Record as a light commercial EV (eLCV) that achieved a range of "693.38 km" on a single charge under maximum load conditions (among commercial vehicles in Europe, depending on specific driving environments and methods).

Backed by these evaluations, sales are robust, with global sales of the PV5 reaching 8,113 units in the first quarter of 2026. In Europe, it sold 1,921 units in the UK, 1,262 units in Germany, 1,143 units in Denmark, and 625 units in France, capturing a 9.0% share in the light commercial EV (eLCV) market.

It is a model attracting significant attention as an EV commercial vehicle category, which is still rare in Japan.
