Goka Town, Ibaraki Prefecture, held a completion ceremony on February 27, 2026, to commemorate the completion of its child-rearing support housing, "Hidamari Residence I and II," aimed at promoting the relocation and settlement of child-rearing households.

On the day of the ceremony, guests and construction personnel attended, participating in events such as a tape-cutting ceremony and a tour of the completed residences.
This ceremony marked a significant milestone, celebrating the completion of this housing project, which has been under construction since July 2025, and representing a new step towards regional revitalization.

This project is the first housing initiative in Goka Town to adopt the PFI (Private Finance Initiative) method.
The complex consists of a total of 30 units, developed in two locations within the town: Harajukudai district and Kawazuma district, providing a safe living environment for child-rearing households.
Move-ins are scheduled to begin sequentially from March 2026, and applications will close once all units are filled.

Mayor's Comment
Children are the town's treasure, and I believe that creating an environment where they can be raised with peace of mind is a crucial role for the town. This project, the first PFI initiative in Goka Town, has seen the collaboration of the administration, private companies, and financial institutions, leveraging their respective strengths to create a comfortable living environment for child-rearing households. In addition to housing development, we expect that the establishment of community facilities and parks will also contribute to the formation of local communities. We hope that the children raised here will love the town and that this initiative will lead to community development where they wish to continue living in the future.
