【 Introduction 】

We, Nitto Towel, will open 'Towel School,' a learning institution advocating "A towel is a letter," on April 29, 2026. This release is our "dream statement" for the future, 100 years from now.

The accompanying photo is an object of the yellow building that will serve as our learning institution. If you look at our usual building from a new perspective, it might just look like a wholesaler's school... maybe!?

"A towel is a letter."

Have you ever felt a sense of relief from the warmth of a handwritten letter, even before reading the words inside?

It's the same with towels. There's someone you want to give it to, feelings you want to convey, and a soft texture that touches your fingertips.

Towels, which directly touch the skin and convey comfort, are a sign of love and friendship that reaches the heart more than words. We believe they are like the most familiar handwritten letters that accompany our daily lives.

If we only consider functionality, paper towels might be sufficient for drying wet hands.

But will 'towels,' which require the effort of washing, or 'letters,' which take time to think of someone, disappear from this world 100 years from now?

I, we, believe that such efforts and time will never disappear.

The 'Towel School' we are about to embark on is a school that values "leisurely time" to care for oneself and others, just like the time brought by letters and towels. Of course, as it is a school, there will be opportunities for everyone to share and learn together, but we want to remember that "we" ourselves are also members of the students of this learning institution.

The important thing is to take it easy, slowly, and without worry. Eventually, you might find yourself speaking "caring words" to someone, or to yourself, like calling out to a childhood friend you haven't seen in a long time. Such time, in turn, might bring deep conversations with someone, or stimulating times where both parties can feel excited.

Now, we will slowly begin our 'Towel School.'

【 Information on Nitto Fes 2026 】

To commemorate the opening of 'Towel School,' a kickoff cultural festival, "Nitto Fes 2026," will be held for two days on Tuesday, April 28th, and Wednesday (holiday), April 29th, 2026, at the Nitto Towel main store (6-3 Nihonbashi Yokoyamacho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo).

At Nitto Fes, with the slogan "Learn and play in the yellow building!!", we will hold open planning meetings (dialogue events) for student recruitment starting next year. We will invite guests to discuss the creation of 'Towel School,' where leisurely time will flow, on various themes.

In addition, many stalls, workshops, and exhibition booths by those connected with Nitto Towel are planned to appear at the venue. We will deliver a handmade, lively festival that dyes the building yellow.
